Crank up the chaos in this 1999 Game Boy Color port of Grand Theft Auto, a standout action experience built for handheld play. What makes it especially impressive is the unabridged approach: the cities are converted tile-for-tile from the PC original, resulting in a world far larger than most Game Boy Color games manage. The result is an isometric, bird view perspective that puts navigation and street-level decisions front and center, all designed for single player mayhem.

Beyond the core crime-driven freedom, this version includes a Game Boy Color exclusive character named Kelly, who can also be renamed Sumner. It also supports a cheat code that unlocks 15 additional characters, including ones based on the game’s creator.
