A deckbuilding experience using poker

A doorway to a lofty realm taken from the pages of ancient Norse and Middle Eastern mythology is formed by three tables standing in a circle of stones in the foggy center of the old forests. You will then set out on a quest to protect Cardrasil, the Life Tree, from the evil that is eating away at her roots. Each card in the magical deck she gives you is made of leaves that have been taken from from her own branches. Put your powers to use with them to launch deadly poker-powered strikes. Make haste, but grow your own strength and trim your own deck! Warmth won't be available for very long; the seasons are changing.

Gameplay

The core of Aces & Adventures is a distinctive blend of standard playing cards and special ability cards. You'll build a deck and decide how to utilize your resources - do you want to use assaults and spells to fight your opponents, or do you want to use playing cards to draw potentially deadly high-value poker hands and destroy your enemies with a powerful blow?

• Use the four suits as mana to summon your powers.
• One card is thrown as an attack; highest card wins.
• Throw a pair, treble, four-of-a-kind, or legal five-card poker hand to turn the tables on the house.
• The defence tries to equal the attack's number of cards. The attacker sustains damage if the defense plays a superior hand of that size.
• Mix skills, spells, debuffs, and buffs to unleash devastating combo strikes.
