Curse of the Sea Rats is a hand-drawn, meticulously designed "ratoidvania" platform adventure game. See the amazing adventure of four British imperial captives who were turned into rats by the infamous pirate witch Flora Burn. They will have to take on fearsome employers, discover the mysteries of the huge Irish shore, and finally apprehend the witch who cast the curse in order to reclaim their human bodies.

Characters in the game are brought to life by gorgeous 2D, hand-drawn animation that is influenced by vintage animated films and harkens back to the heyday of 2D platforming. These animations work in perfect harmony with the finely drawn 3D surroundings and added light and shadow effects to produce a stunning 2.5D platforming experience.

Freedom and Discovery

Track your journey as you look for the pirate witch who cursed you in a vast, non-linear universe. You'll need more than just your swashbuckling prowess to forge your way to freedom if you find yourself shipwrecked on the Irish shore in the 18th century.

Discover David Douglas, Buffalo Calf, Bussa, and Akane Yamakawa, four playable characters. Each character brings their particular combat style to the table to aid you in overcoming the obstacles presented by foes and the surrounding area! Play in local co-op mode by yourself or with up to three pals.
